After some retries my TV connected to wi-fi router but still was not able to access the internet. Then that I changed DNS-settings on TV to the fixed ones (set DNS-server to 8.8.4.4). Next rebooted my router, and TV was able to connect to the internet. Still, I'm not sure how long it will work without breaking again.
I had the Telstra ADSL 2 Modem/Gateway for the last 7 years and the Samsung TV ran perfectly fine. However in the last 2 days i have upgraded to the NBN using the (Telstra Gateway Max 2) however the TV doesnt detect the WIFI connection. Every other device, Android phones ipads etc have been able to connect. I am trying to hook up an antenna to my Samsung 4k HD Smart TV. When I go to the Source menu, there is no source for the antenna. If I click on the TV option, it brings me to TV Plus instead of prompting me to scan for over the air channels. Also, when I go to Settings and then Broadcast, the Bro I also have two smart Samsung televisions, purchased within the last few years, which suddenly, as of two days ago, fail to access the internet. My FiOS Quantum router, which I upgraded to over a week ago, still feeds wifi fine to the other devices in the home (two Lenovo laptops, an iPhone, a Samsung Galaxy SIII, and an Xbox One S). I just thought I would post this solution here after I spent several days and hours on the phone trying to get my Samsung Smart TV to connect to the internet. After having the television for 2 years with not problems at all, suddenly it would not connect to WiFi.
